For the first 2 days eat only grapes, with pips and skin. The cheapest white grapes are the best for this purpose. Eat as many as you like. If thirsty, drink water. Practise deep breathing for 10 minutes every day. The 2 days of grapes should be followed by 4 days on the following diet:
The juice of 2 oranges undiluted and unsweetened. Sipped slowly.
150-200g grapes or a ripe pear.
2 firm but not overripe tomatoes. Eat slowly and chew well.
Small salad, finely chopped lettuce and/or watercress, grated raw carrot, cucumber, chopped onion, chives, mint and parsley. Lemon juice as a dressing if desired. Eat slowly and chew well.
Juice of 2 oranges, sipped slowly, or 150g of grapes.
2-3 tomatoes eaten alone and slowly, or a small salad as at midday.
Grapes and a ripe pear or peach.
After 4 days on this diet, eat buttered rye crackers at midday with the salad. The next day eat grated cheese as well as rye crackers. In the evening eat a small meal of cooked green and root vegetables with scrambled egg. Thereafter you can begin to progress to a full diet. Meals must be kept small and be well masticated. The main basis of meals should be fruit and salad, eggs, white fish, cheese and nuts, with lean white meat occasionally. Breakfast should always consist of fresh fruit. For dessert have a few dried dates or figs or 1 teaspoon of maple syrup. Your evening meal should be prepared with steamed root vegetables.
1. Ensure that you empty your bowels every day.
2. Each day rub down your spine with a cold sponge followed by brisk drying with a rough towel.
3. Take a hot bath every night with 500g Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate). Stay in the bath for 20-30 minutes. Have the water as hot as you can bear it. Stay in the bath while you drain the water. Get up slowly and then take a cold shower - over your entire body. Rub yourself dry with a rough towel. Put on warm clothing and rest for at least 1 hour.
